THE MACHINES

SCARAB has found through the years of producing machines for various sites that no two operations are the same; therefore, very rarely are the machines ever built to the same specifications. A machine designed for composting yard waste in New York is probably will not require the same configuration as a machine processing contaminated soil in Texas. Based on this realization, SCARAB has moved away from producing a "standard" machine.

For many years, SCARAB produced one size of machine for all the different composting operations. Then as the situations warranted, a larger machine was built, but was still a standard machine and drive system. With the increasing emphasis on composting in recent years, numerous new and distinctive operations have formed, each having different operating conditions and requirements.

To provide the customer with the machine best designed for the specific operating conditions, SCARAB provides numerous configuration possibilities to build the ideal machine for the given conditions. These configurations, as discussed later, include a variety of machines sizes, horsepower ranges, and drive systems.

There are three major components which comprise each SCARAB. These include the Frame, Power Unit, Drive System. One option from each of the major components is combined to design the optimal machine for the given situation. Please visit each page to obtain a better understanding of the available configurations.

At first this may appear confusing, but it is designed to allow more flexibility in designing the machine that will best meet your needs. SCARAB believes in working with the facility owners and operators to design the machine to meet the needs rather than limiting the customer to one specific machine. This help put control of the facility in the hands of the owners rather than being forced to adapt to the machine design.

Being confined to one location is no longer a problem with SCARAB's latest model introduction. The new Legal Load Machines combine the productivity of the standard SCARAB with the ease of portability to move the machine between composting locations. SCARAB has incorporated a design for machines that, when loaded, are legal transporation width without the need for permits. So the composting operations no longer need to be confined to one central location.
