There are numerous options available when it comes to the Power Units which consist of the engine and hydraulic system. SCARAB currently offers a horsepower range from 177 to 600 horsepower, so we have the engine that will provide the necessary power for the given application.

Over the years, SCARAB has encountered numerous situations each which unique requirements. A machine processing yard waste (leaves and grass) normally does not require the same horsepower as a machine processing contaminated soil. Therefore, we have the capabilities and willingness to place various engines and horsepowers on the same sized machines.

The hydraulic system for each horsepower configuration is designed specifically for the horsepower. The hydraulic pumps and motors are configured to allow the machine to continually operate at the optimal pressure to provide a balance between power and efficiency. Hydraulic operating pressures are preset to operate consistently under 3,000 psi.

SCARAB realizes that everyone has their own opinions and preferences when it comes to the manufacturer of diesel engines. This is one of the reasons that SCARAB offers a wide range of engines that can be fitted to the SCARAB.
